Craving Was he invisible? He often wondered that. People seemed to flit about him, never really noticing him. Like the way no-one remembered his name. Maybe that’s why he talked so much, not that it was a conscious thing, he’d just suddenly find himself rambling and unable to stop. He’d only ever wanted to belong. But that never worked, he’d never really fit anywhere. Not at school, or with Warren, certainly not here where everyone was a hero, or really cool. Like Spike. Spike was everything he wanted to be; only he knew he never would. He’d always just be… invisible. |
