:: Demons ::
These are in the order you come up against them in the game,
assuming you’re playing all the side quests and the arenas. Keep in mind that if
you have not played a side quest, you may not see some of these things until
later.

See controls for help with attack
recommendations. You REALLY want to check those pages. Our first time
through this game, we could not get the 3 point attack. We FAILED that
training session, even. Then we spent the whole game thrusting forward
shouting “Ya! Ya, ya!” This is NOT a recommended way to beat this game. We
are proof that you CAN…but you REALLY shouldn’t.

Minions are not listed individually in the above chart.
Here is the separate section for Minion Fighters – only found under the clouds.
Archers are worth motes
Brutes are worth a couple bags of np
Warriors are worth around 75np
Magicians are worth a juppie or chokato
Wizards and artilleries are usually worth gagging heaps, but occasionally
only give motes.
All types of minion alignments are defined by their actual (body) color.
Yellow is Light
Red is fire
Purple is dark
Green is earth
Light Blue is air
Dark Blue is water.
The wizard alignments are defined by the color of their
robes.
Both other games since the first one, Darkwolf has insisted on running under the
clouds. This makes it hard for me, his wife, to tell what the heck we’re running
PAST. This time, I made him stop, take a hit, and take the things down, so we’d
know what to put here. Lots of experimenting went into this part of the guide.
We tested ALL the different attack powers, etc. It. Took. Forever. But we GOT
the info! Yay! Anyway, here’s a nice little neat chart to help you with those
ugly, smug bastards under the purple clouds.
Fight Guide for Minions:
Type |
Tip for Tor |
Tip for Roberta |
Archers |
Watch for color, same aligned mote on shield for tor |
Rapid fire |
Brutes |
Same alignment on sword, matching on shield and armor,
360 attack, 3 point and jump slash. Try not to get grabbed and thrown. These
are almost never worth it. They’re big, dumb, poor, and they throw you. |
Three power blasts with a rock mote. |
Warriors |
3 point + Jump strike |
Rapid Fire |
Magicians |
You really shouldn’t. You can use the shield, but it’s
really not good |
Rapid Fire or Power attack |
Wizards |
Shield of same alignment |
Power attack with rock mote or opposing mote |
Artilleries |
Same alignment on shield and armor, block and then
charge and jump slash…then move – but we really recommend the running away
theory for this one, unless you’re SO BROKE that you’ll do ANYTHING for np |
Same alignment on robes and shield….then rapid fire
with opposing alignment forEVER |
