The Watcher's Council is a group of highly educated, highly trained men and women who dedicate their lives to the searching for and training of potential slayers. The role of Watcher is usually passed down the generations of the same family, young watchers are trained at the Watcher's Academy in the UK before being assigned a potential slayer as their ward. Unfortunately, The First recently blew up the Watcher's Council headquarters in London, killing the most senior members and destroying centuries worth of valuable information.
