Seth Green News |
IFC Boils up More Greg the Bunny In a huge victory for fabricated Americans everywhere, Greg the Bunny is returning to television. The star of FOX's short-lived comedy "Greg the Bunny" will do a half-hour special on IFC. Fans will recall that Greg got his big break hosting a movie showcase on IFC in 2001 (after debuting on New York public access in 1999). The bunny's FOX series, which co-starred flesh-and-blood actors Seth Green, Sarah Silverman and Eugene Levy, was cancelled after only seven episodes, a decision that still rankles dozens of viewers. |

Eliza News |
FOX Nips Tru in the bud Fox is cutting back on "Tru Calling" before the show's second season even begins. Net Monday announced that the skein won't premiere as planned on Thursday, Nov. 4. Instead, the timeslot will be filled by Hawaii sudser "North Shore." What Fox didn't announce, however, is that the net seems ready to scale back the production order on the Eliza Dushku (news) starrer from 13 segs to just six episodes. Decision could be a death blow to the 20th Century Fox TV/Original show, insiders conceded. |

Angel News |
Angel: The Search for Redemption, A Review Changing one’s life around is not easy. To take stock of yourself -- who you are and where you’ve been -- to see your life for what it is and then do a complete 180 degree turn is a challenge not many are willing to undertake. This show follows the journey of a “man” (and by man, I mean 200-year-old vampire with a soul) who seeks to answer the question: can you ever do enough good to balance the scales for all the evil you've done in your past? Have you ever done things so wrong that you are beyond the hope of redemption? When you’ve wasted, or rather, misused your life, what can you do to win it back? |

Anthony S. Head News |
Lights, Camera, Bracken MOST television dramas escape unnoticed into the wilds of the programme schedules, there to wither and die or bear fruit and start the slow climb up TV’s evolutionary ladder to the ultimate goal – a Radio Times front cover. But try to explain the success of Monarch Of The Glen, speak to the actors and writers who bring it to our television screens, and the laws of natural selection seem to falter. Loved by millions, a mainstay of Sunday night viewing since the turn of the century, it appears to have arrived as if by a snap of the celestial fingers. Maybe there’s something in creation theory after all. Maybe God really does smile on Glenbogle. (News/Spoilers on Anthony's stint on Monarch of the Glen.) |

General News |
Direct to Disc TV Eliminates The Middle Man Television is a harsh business. It's ruled by ratings and revenue, and we're lucky that even a few truly entertaining shows manage to get produced and handed down to us from Network Mountain..... Joss Whedon, creator of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and the canceled-too- soon "Angel," certainly has a built-in fan base. It's a safe bet that anything he put his name on would make a few laps around the track, no network required. Whedon's third series, "Firefly," got the ax from Fox barely into its freshman season and is now out on DVD with the unaired episodes as bonus features. "Firefly" -- a complete nonstarter in the mystifying world of network ratings -- proved so popular to those who did see it that Whedon is now shooting a major motion-picture version. |

Jewel Staite News |
The Snowball That is Firefly (A post by Jewel Staite) Just wanted to say thank-you to everyone who made Dragon*Con such an absolute blast. All three of us had an excellent time, and we were floored by the support and the love from the fans out there. The little Firefly that could, right? How is it that this could have happened? I can't explain it. All I can do is feel grateful. |

Whedon is the X Man While chatting to a studio insider this week about something remotely different - in terms of genre - it was let slip that "Joss Whedon's doing X-Men next year of course..". At this stage, they're talking about the new recruits that are going to join the film, acting-wise. |

David Boreanaz News |
Angel in Tights? The last few weeks there's been a rumour floating about David Boreanaz doing something with a 'Four' in the title. Everyone assumed he was talking about 'Jurassic Park 4'. Not So. The role Boreanaz was actually referring to was "The Fantastic Four". Apparently the "Angel" star came close to snagging the role of Ben Grimm/The Thing in the film, but Michael Chiklis was the winner at the end of the day. |
