Amy Acker News |
Profile of Amy Acker It's something that never fails to amaze Amy Acker. People often recognize her when they see her. And it happens much more frequently today than it did only a few years ago. Yet others still only "sort of" know who she is. "When I go home to Dallas," Amy says, "the way people usually say it is, 'You look just like that girl who's on Angel!'" |

TV's Top Queer Kisses That's why "Fastlane" got a ratings bump when Tiffani Thiessen crawled into a hot tub with Jaime Pressly. That's why Willow's lesbian love affair on "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer" cast a spell on viewers.
Photos from Buffy High Stakes Event 2004 In between Amy Acker debunking the rumour that she's up for Lois Lane in "Superman", Joss Whedon confirming that he's working on a new spec script, and Alyson Hannigan entertaining the crowd with her flute (ah, joke), the former cast and crew of "Buffy" and "Angel" happily posed for pics at the 2004 High Stakes event. Doesn't Acker look stunning! |

Whedon Not Attached to X-Men 3 You know you're popular when ... rumors have you doing everything from painting the Mona Lisa, to becoming a nanny to Madonna's child. It hasn't been that bad for "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" creator Joss Whedon, but the rumors have been rampant about him lately. And he took advantage of a political function in honor of a presidential candidate to dispell many of them.
Whedon Stakes X-Men 3 Rumor There's going to be an increase in hair transplants this week, because "Buffy" fans will have pulled their's all out by weeks end!
Hot on the heels of news that we're about lose Eliza Dushku's series from screens, comes the biggest blow of all : Joss Whedon isn't going to be doing "X-Men 3", as previously rumoured. One of my favourite spots for anything Jossverse, Whedonverse, attended the Kerry campaign and noted that : "Well it's over and the big news is that Joss will not be directing X-Men 3 but he's working on a new screen play which is not based on anything he has done before."
Whedon Wants out of TV "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" creator Joss Whedon is done with TV -- for now. Twentieth Century Fox TV has approved Whedon's request to halt his overall deal at the studio, effectively shuttering his Mutant Enemy production shingle. |

Sarah M. Gellar News |
Gellar Continues to keep Distance from Buffy With all the different things happening around "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" right now, one might think that the actors and such are excited as well. Apparently not all of them. Taking some cues from former co-star David Boreanaz ("Angel"), Sarah Michelle Gellar has been noticeably absent from a couple of projects as of late, and recently told interviewers that it's simply because of time.
Sarah Michelle Gellar Interview Sarah Michelle Gellar defined one of the best characters in television, the title role of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. But of course the show ended and she has moved onto other things. For many years during the run of Buffy, Gellar did horror movies such as Scream 2 and I Know What You Did Last Summer. Now her latest project, The Grudge, is another horror film with a twist. It is the first Japanese horror remake directed by the original Japanese director. |

Gellar Defends Buffy DVDs Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar told SCI FI Wire that time constraints, not a lack of interest, prevented her from providing commentaries on the acclaimed TV show's DVD sets. "You know, it's so interesting," she said during an interview while promoting her new film, The Grudge. "Most of the time in this business you really only get one side. You get he who speaks loudest." |

Convention News |
High Stakes 2004 “High Stakes” L.A. is suddenly and officially a much bigger deal than last year’s “Buffy Bash.” Joss Whedon is coming. The mastermind behind “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Angel” and “Firefly” is himself making a non-telephonic appearance at the Los Angeles “High Stakes” event. He will make “the conference call” to all the other “High Stakes” parties around the nation from the L.A. party at 2 p.m. PT/5 p.m. ET. It gets better. Minutes ago we got word that “Angel” stars Amy Acker and J. August Richards are coming to “High Stakes” L.A. A minute later we heard that a couple other really really amazingly beautiful, sweet and insanely talented Buffiverse actresses were tentatively on board. Not Sarah Michelle (at least not yet), but the very next best thing!! Details as they develop!! |

Joss News |
Joss Whedon to talk About X-Men 3 The truth about the X-Men is...much less important than this election. Much less important than putting someone in the White House who knows the difference between leading and bullying. I'm here to confirm that I will be doing the phone-party on Saunday and I'm urging any and everyone to attend one or even host one. (Highstakes2004.com.) I plan to be incredibly funny and insightful, or mention some people who have been in the past. We can talk about politics, we can talk about Buffy, we can talk about car maintenence (though I'll mostly just listen at that point) and I will once and for all tell you all what IS going on with the X-Men. And then we can talk about politics some more.
Whedon to Share X-Men 3 Details Rumors continue to circulate about whether or not Joss Whedon is going to be a part of the X-Men franchise. He may replace Bryan Singer in directing "X-Men 3," which could be a huge feather in his cap, but he said right now, his focus is elsewhere. |

"I am a commitment-phobe because I was nothing but contractually bound for years."

Angel News |
WB TV Wants More Angel ... But Will they Get it? This isn't the first time someone's said that there will be more adventures for ANGEL, the vampire with a soul that lasted five years running on The WB, only to be summarily dispatched last season by network executives. Angel's co-creator, Joss Whedon, is open for more stories, and at the time of the show's termination the WB said they were hoping to do some stand-alone ANGEL TV movies. However, comments from star David Boreanaz seem to suggest that he's moved on, and that bringing him back to play the leader of the Fang Gang may prove to be a challenge for The WB (possibly meaning there better be a bigger paycheck involved.) |
