The Grudge R1 DVD Artwork
Early details have begun to emerge on the Sam Raimi produced horror The Grudge which stars Sarah Michelle Gellar. The disc has been scheduled for release on the 1st February next year, and should set you back around $28.95. As well as an anamorphic widescreen transfer and English Dolby Digital 5.1 track, the disc is set to include an audio commentary with Sam Raimi, Ted Raimi, Sarah Michelle Gellar and more, a sixty minute documentary divided into multiple sections and an Under the Skin featurette which sets out to give a medical explanation of the fear response in films. |

Thinking outside the box, TV Guide has included Marvel’s ASTONISHING X-MEN VOL. 1: GIFTED TPB in their gift guide for TV lovers. Citing the legions of Buffy fans, TV Guide lists Astonishing X-Men as a showcase of the sharp writing that’s become synonymous with Joss Whedon. |

Sarah at Dubai Film Festival
Organizers unveiled for the first time the entire line-up of approximately 75 films that will be screened across the six festival venues in Dubai: the Madinat Arena, the Madinat Jumeirah Theatre in the resort's souq, five cinemas at the Mercato shopping mall, the Jumeirah Beach Hotel Auditorium and the open-air amphitheater at Dubai Media City. They also confirmed the attendance of several celebrities and high-profile film actors and guests including Prince Albert of Monaco, statesman Archbishop Desmond Tutu, actors Morgan Freeman and Sarah Michelle Gellar and distinguished directors Subhash Ghai and Daoud Abdul Sayed. |

Anya Figures Review
Buffy the Vampire Slayer had no shortage of monsters, demons or vampires. It also had no shortage of beautiful women, and by the time Diamond Select Toys is done, they'll all have been immortalized in plastic, multiple times. The latest edition to the line is Anya Christina Emmanuella Jenkins, or Anya as she was normally called on the show. An ex-vengeance demon, she became an integral part of the show, and always seemed to get to wear the skimpiest outfits. Nobody was complaining. |

Summer Glau's Response to Serenity Date Re-Shuffle
"It was heartbreaking to find out about the release date. I have waited so long and now I find that I have to wait that much longer. "I would like to say say a special thank you from me for the continued support of the fans. I am sad but trying to see the best in this decision. I trust Joss. When Joss told me about the change he was very positive about the response he had from the studio. They were very enthusiastic.

U Shuffles '05 Releases
Universal Pictures has confirmed it has moved back the release date for upcoming Nicole Kidman starrer "The Interpreter," causing a chain reaction of changes to its release sked over the next 12 months. The Sydney Pollack-helmed pic has been moved from Feb. 18 to April 22. This, in turn, means that "Serenity" -- based on the now-canceled Fox skein "Firefly" created by Joss Whedon -- has been moved from April 22 to Sept. 30. |

Grudge DVD Due Soon
The Grudge, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, will be released Feb. 1, 2005, on DVD and will include a featurette that asks why people seek out fear at the movies, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Michael Gillis said he sought the answer from author and New York University professor Joseph LeDoux, who has spent more than 30 years researching fear, the trade paper reported. |

BtVS Season 7 Review
The seventh season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer was its weakest year - however, the 'weakest' Buffy is still leagues ahead of most other television shows. While it wasn't as good as what had come before, it still managed to pack one hell of a punch.

The final season of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER (newly out on DVD) was filled with throwbacks to the past and more potential slayers than you could shake a stake at.
