:: Amber Benson News
Chance: Even Buffy Fans May Not Dig This
In Chance, Tara is alive. But she's not a witch, involved with Willow or particularly nice. Spike, neither English nor a vampire (soul restored or otherwise), is her roommate. They live together in Los Angeles. Apparently he's run out of TV shows to work on, or Lost hasn't been created yet, because writer-producer David Fury is delivering pizza to them. Oh, and Lorne is still singing in nightclubs, although he's no longer a demon. Without the horns and green makeup he's actually kind of hot.

Chances Are Good for Disappointment
Chance presents a great temptation to rabid fans of the late, great Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Written, directed and produced by Amber Benson, who played the doomed witch Tara for a couple of seasons, the low-low-low-budget romantic comedy from 2002 stars Benson and popular Buffy alum James Marsters -- truly the best thing that ever happened to the TV series -- as roommates who can't quite make the leap to becoming lovers.

:: Michelle Trachtenberg News
Michelle Trachtenberg: Soon to be a star on ice
Michelle Trachtenberg is a woman now. It's a scary thought, but the cute little girl of The Adventures of Pete & Pete (1994-96), Harriet the Spy (1996) and Inspector Gadget (1999) will turn 20 in October. That's a big, big number for me, Trachtenberg admits. It's my last year being a teenager. The day I turn 20 will be the same day that, 10 years ago, we started principal photography on Harriet the Spy. That's a lifetime already. I have 10 years in SAG before some people who are 35 years old.

:: David Boreanaz News
AICN Review Wicked Prayer
First off, the movie has a very Western tone?no big city rooftops in sight. Eddy plays an ex-con, whose hot girlfriend is the daughter of the town sheriff. Enter David Boranez, the guy from Angel, whose plan is to become the Devil and needs both Furlong?s heart and his girlfriend?s eyes to do it. Tara Reid plays David?s girlfriend/witch who whips up the spells to pull it off. The story isn?t much, guy comes back from dead, angel versus devil etc. but it?s got a lot going and has some real good performances to boot.

David in These Girls
Based on the humorously edgy play by Vivienne Laxdal, These Girls is the story of three teenage girls who, in turn, seduce and then attempt to share Keith, an older married man. It is a tale of innocence, jealousy and friendship told as a provocative coming-of-age story.

:: Joss Whedon News
Is There Enough Joss Whedon to go Around?
Joss Whedon has a lot on his plate. Has he spread himself too thin? Organizers of the Whedonverse Multimedia Project don’t think so. In fact, their goal is to spread his creations Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Firefly even further by donating DVDs of the shows to public libraries. The idea for the Project was inspired by the efforts of SaveFarscape.com and was first introduced to Whedon fans in August 2004. The Project truly came into its own in January 2005 when it established Whedonverse.org. Now off to a modest start, the Project hopes to steadily build from its successes.

New films filch ideas for posters, ads and plotlines
Disney's The Ice Princess, starring Michelle Trachtenberg (Dawn on TV's Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and premiering March 18, borrows slightly from the not-so-family-friendly 1984 film Angel - each poster sports the lead actress in back-to-back poses showing her before and after character transformation.

Meet Morena Baccarin
To celebrate the premiere of m Morena's new movie, Way Off Broadway, she will be appearing alongside co-star Forbes March on opening weekend for a Q&A. Way Off Broadway is the story of five friends who, frustrated by the abrupt juxtaposition of being successful artists on the university level to poor struggling artists in New York City, take a crash course in life as they explore the dynamic of conflict in friendship involving sex, love, failure and betrayal.

:: Michelle Trachtenberg News
Ice Princess Review
I think Michelle Trachtenberg made a good career move with this film. She’s been trying to make the transition from television to film since Buffy the Vampire Slayer was cancelled. Her role in Eurotrip seemed to be too drastic of a change from her Dawn character on Buffy.

A Buffy Series Without Joss Whedon?
For more than a decade, Writer/Producer/Director Joss Whedon has been synonymous with the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" franchise, so much so that it seems inconceivable that anyone would even attempt to launch a new film or television series about the legendary super heroine without him. But strangely enough, that was, or maybe still is, a plan in the works.

Illyria and the Liberating Potential of Chaotic Postmodern Identity
Though we have entered a new millennium, we still contend with a postmodern world fraught with ambiguities. Having torn down the solid walls of traditional systems that once lucidly demarcated and defined our sense of reality and self, we have, one may argue, become chaotic—that is to say, physically and psychically sensitive to the absence of these systems, uncertain whether this absence reduces us and reality to nothing or opens both to endless possibilities. The television series Angel, spin-off to the cult horror hit Buffy the Vampire Slayer, addresses this postmodern dilemma with tales of volatile characters that destabilize traditional identifying systems, blurring lines between natural and supernatural, good and evil, human and demon, and everything in between.
