Prophecy Girl Figure Review There's a wonderful review of the 12" Prophecy Girl Figure over at SideShow Collectibles: At first glance, the "Prophecy Girl" doll is amazingly close to capturing the woman that inspired it. Sculpted by Oluf W. Hartvigson, he really is spot on with getting the details right, absolutely nailing physical traits like Gellar's nose, lips and overall facial shape. |

Amber Benson News |
Intermedio Movie Review This week, I'm brought to you by everybody out at www.Horrormovies.com, which is, frankly, a treat. But not even THEY have what I'm putting out for you this week, folks, no sir! This is an ADVANCE COPY I'm covering this week. Not even out in stores! And what I've got for you this week is "Intermedio," a strange little surprise from everybody out at The Asylum, whom I'm convinced is pushing to take over Lions Gate's former slot as the kings of direct-to-video horror by virtue of sheer prolificacy. |

Serenity Comic Book News |
Serenity # 1 Comic Coming In July, Heralding Movie Release Folks, if you haven't checked out all the great links in that SciScoop front page left-hand column "Find Serenity Here" box, and particularly ordered the DVD to become a rabid fan of Firefly, my only question is... why not? The sci-fi series that discriminating fans won't let die is getting ready for its Phoenix-like liftoff with the upcoming July release of Serenity #1. This short-run comic series chronicles the "six month gap" between the final DVD episode "Objects in Space" and Serenity: Big Damn Movie (fans of course understand that whimsical title) coming out September 30. |

Joss Whedon News |
Astonishing X-Men #9 Review This issue marks the first time that Joss Whedon's work on this series didn't really leave me all that impressed, as the central idea of the Danger Room gaining sentience is hardly new ground, as I'm pretty sure I could list off at least a dozen sci-fi titles that offered up a similar plot of a machine overcoming it's programing. |

Nicholas Brendon News |
An Unholy Set Visit A visit to the set of Nicky's new movie, Unholy: I only recently moved to Queens, New York, but even longtime residents were stymied when I asked, "Where is Fort Totten?" After several fruitless attempts at asking various friends, I finally looked the damn thing up and discovered that Fort Totten sits on a northeastern tip of the borough, right next to the neighborhood of Bayside, and has in fact been a working military base for over a century, protecting its tiny portion of the East Coast from...well, invaders from Connecticut, I suppose. The truth is that Fort Totten is in the process of being shut down, with many of its offices, buildings and barracks no longer in use, making it a perfect location to shoot - what else - a horror movie. |
