Serenity News |
Serenity Given 4.5 Stars at Oz Screening (No spoilers) Hey there, long time reader, new poster, blah blah all that jazz. I managed to see serenity last night at the Sydney test screening. It was pretty complete, a few FX missing and some music out of place but it was very near final.
Vote for Your Favourite Trailer Vote for the Serenity trailer as your favourite trailer. It's up against the trailers for Batman Begins, Must Love Dogs & Manderlay. |

Serenity News |
Peace, Love & a Serenity Trailer In this world of trial and tribulation, some injustices stand out above the rest. The imprisonment of Nelson Mandela, perhaps, or the fact that Chelsea can buy a Premiership title for the price of a big yacht. But above all these is the fact that the best sci-fi series in recent years was cancelled midway through its first season, without so much as a series finale to assuage the agony of fans. But sometimes justice prevails. The Firefly, for it was she that was crushed beneath the boot of the ratings oppressor, has risen, phoenix-like, to the big screen as Serenity, and its trailer is now online here. |

BtVS News |
Hyenas Prove a Toughie for Buffy Buffy the Vampire Slayer proved fangless. The Trades Descriptions Act should bite the hand that wrote this weekend’s episode of schlock. The baddies were merely teen-freaks possessed by the blood-lust of sick hyenas. No laughing matter you’d think - yet *Buffy isn’t anything if it isn’t on the hilarious side of tongue-in-cheek surreality. Thus when the usual bunch of obnoxious, preppy students from Sunnydale High headed off on their outing to the zoo, the hyena quarantine zone was destined to be their target. |

Sarah M. Gellar News |
Casting News on Sarah's New Movie - Southland Tales Hey folks, Harry here... when's the last time you saw a studio press release that stated that The Rock, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Seann William Scott were making a film with a strange hybrid of Andy Warhol and Phillip K. Dick's sensibilities? This project is easily unlike anything you've ever seen. This script just never takes any of the expected turns - and from the 3 announced actors through all the others you'll hear about - they are all radically playing way against their established personalities and types. It is a shake the pillars of heaven cool. |

Nathan Fillion News |
Slither: Fangoria TV's on-set visit to James Gunn's Personal Hell Slither stars Nathan Fillion, here's a report of a set visit: A few months back, my long-time friend Lloyd Kaufman from Troma told me James Gunn was starting to shoot a new horror film called "Slither" for Universal Pictures. 10 years ago, James wrote and co-directed a film I was in called "Tromeo and Juliet" with Lloyd. Ironically, I had just reestablished contact with Gunn because we've been tracking down folks for T&J's 10 year anniversary edition DVD release. When I heard James was working on a horror movie in my hometown of Vancouver it seemed like the dream set visit for Fangoria TV! I emailed Gunn and he was all for it. |
