David Boreanaz News |
Boreanaz Returns to TV with a New Crime Drama Okay, this isn’t a Hollywood movie no matter how you look at it, but any "Angel" fan will tell you they’d never pass up an opportunity to speak with David Boreanaz - and I’m no exception. I miss watching Boreanaz save the world in the Joss Whedon "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" spin-off and when the chance came up to sit down with the actor at the 2005 San Diego Comic Con to talk about his new project, "Bones," I couldn’t say no. |

Serenity News |
Buffy Creator's Film Takes Off HUGE demand for tickets to see the directorial debut of the creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer has forced organisers of the Edinburgh International Film Festival to arrange more screenings. In an unprecedented move the festival will now show two more screenings of Oscar and Emmy-nominated Joss Whedon's world premiere of Serenity.
The Serenity Presentation at Comic-Con Director Joss Whedon showed attendees at Comic-Con new footage from his latest film Serenity – based on his short-lived television series Firefly. Whedon had almost the full cast on hand to show some additional footage from the film that centers on the mystery of Summer Glau's character River. (Contains minor spoilers on a scene from the movie.) |

Serenity News |
Serenity World Premiere! It cannot have escaped our regular readers that we're rather looking forward to a film called Serenity this year. Based on Joss "Buffy and Angel" Whedon's unjustly cancelled sci-fi series 'Firefly', the film brings Captain Mal Reynolds and his crew to the big screen, in the hope that the series' huge DVD audience will find them there. And the good news today is that Serenity will receive its world premiere right here in the UK, at the Edinburgh Film Festival. |

Eliza Dushku News |
Eliza Ready for True Lies 2 You've got to give Tom Arnold props for consistency on his "True Lies 2" stories, though this time it sounds more reliable. Talking with Star Mag during "Happy Endings" promotions, the actor said "We all caught up - Jim [Cameron], Jamie [Lee Curtis], Eliza [Dushku], Bill [Paxton] and myself - to talk about True Lies 2 about a month ago in Cali. We're doing it. Definitely doing it. I'm revved. Unlike Terminator, which I think they're doing without Arnold, Jim's prepared to wait for the big guy. So am I. I've been waiting for ten years now - I'm sure I can hang on a few more months". |

Tim Minear/Adam Baldwin News |
The Inside Review It's hard not to hope that The Inside will be a replacement for Buffy, especially since creator Tim Minear is connected to the Buffyverse (he wrote for Angel). This, unfortunately, is not the case, though the shows have surface similarities. Both feature petite, blond crime-fighters with "special gifts," which they are "taught" to use by a father figure. Whereas Angel and young Clark Kent forge their own paths, TV's gifted girls often require tutelage, with the expectation that they will eventually break free to become independent women. Each heroine's relationship with her "watcher" is a defining element of her life. However, unlike on Buffy, the tutelary relationship on The Inside is fraught, predatory, and vaguely sexual. |

FX Guy says Serenity Sequel Possible, But Firefly Return Not Likely One of the guests at the Shore Leave Convention this weekend was Lee Stringer. Stringer, who has worked on the CG effects for such shows as ENTERPRISE, FIREFLY and the new BATTERSTAR GALACTICA. Our scooper asked him about FIREFLY possibly returning to television and this is what Stringer had to say: I asked him if there was any truth to the rumor that based on the Firefly DVD sales and how the movie Serenity does, if Firefly may get brought back to TV, similiar to what happened to Family Guy. |

Seems the talented brunette has been dropped from the forthcoming series "The Unit", according to E Online. "I guess she is no longer a part of that show", says she site. "So sorry, I didn't know. Serenity News |
Get Ready Now for Serenity About two weeks ago, I was given the opportunity to see "Serenity," the new film from writer-director Joss Whedon - more than three months before its official release date of Sept. 30. The screening was unlike any other cinematic experience I had ever encountered, and was so compelling, I feel the need to share it. (Does contain minor spoilers.) |

Seth Green News |
Seth Green on a Buffy Movie Dr Evil's kid says he'd love it if Joss Whedon got his pad and pen out and started scribbling down ideas for a "Buffy" movie. Seth Green, who played Oz on the cult series, says he'd definitely be up for it - should it happen. "I'm always script-dependent. If there's a good story that's worth telling, I got no problem being a part of it", Green tells E Online. "In fact, I'd love to do it. But you know, I couldn't actually be Buffy. I don't kick like her [Sarah Michelle Gellar], and quite frankly, I don't bring in the crowd. I think it has something to do with her exceptional figure and gorgeous face." First things first. That "Spike" telemovie. |
