Augmentation Demon

This demon was a by-product of the spell that Jonathan cast on himself and the world around him, to elevate him to a higher position in society. This demon was the by-product to balance out the spell that he did. He tried to keep it under wraps but as Buffy gradually began to figure out what was going on, she killed the demon and brought Jonathan back down to Earth.

Balthasar was the head of a cult called El Eliminati. He was particular obese and the way that he feeds was to gesture his arms which draws whoever he wants to him. Then he feeds. He came to Sunnydale seeking an amulet which would restore him back to his full strength. However all he found was a slayer, who did give him a lot of trouble.

Bezoar was a huge prehistoric creature which lived underneath Sunnydale High. The eggs which it laid were dispersed throughout the school. When the eggs hatch the creature that comes out attaches itself to a host and takes over it's motor functions. The host then carries out it's commands, and in Sunnydale's case this was to free the mother Bezoar. The only two students that hadn't been taken over were Buffy and Xander, and Buffy with her trusty pick axe killed the mother Bezoar.

This demon appears to not have a name of any kind. Buffy was out on patrol and thought she killed this demon when she stabbed it with his sword. But the demon's essence got into the sword, which Buffy took home. After Tara did a release spell to help try and release everyone from the house, which they were trapped in, the demon was released and roamed around the house. It could also get into the walls of the house. It emerged again out of the walls, Spike and Buffy fought it. Buffy grabbed it's sword and after it walked into the walls of the house again, Buffy stabbed it and broke the sword which it was in and so killed it.

Stuart Burns was a victim of Anyanka's power, when she was a vengeance demon in Chicago 1914. He was cheating on a girl and Anya changed him into a demon and sent him to another dimension where he was tortured. He came back for revenge on Anya and Xander's wedding day, where he told Xander, in human form, he was Xander in the future and told him a story of his future, telling him it was reality. But it wasn't and consequently the wedding didn't happen, but Xander helped to kill Stuart.

Clement is a friend of Spike's, likes to be called Clem. He played cards with spike at a demon hang out, where they gambled with kittens. Spike invited him to Buffy's birthday party as a friend. He's got fairly wrinkly and scabby skin with big floppy ears.

Der Kindestod

Der Kindestod, literally means in English, child death. This particular demon used to feed off children in the children's ward at the local hospital in Sunnydale. It used to literally suck the life from the child. Only children could see this particular demon. Buffy found she could see it when she had a fever. Buffy also learnt that this was the demon that killed her cousin, Celia, when she was younger. Buffy went out to find the demon and kill it. She gave herself a fever in order to see the demon and fight it. Which she did, and killed the demon by breaking its neck.

D'Hoffryn was Anya boss when Anya was a vengeance demon. He has greyish skin with several horns on top of his head. He fired her as she lost her power source, a pendant that she wore around her neck. He offered Willow a job when he saw the power that she had, but she declined. After Anya was jilted at the alter D'Hoffryn offered to restore Anya to what she was.

Spike first introduced us to Doc. He helped Dawn to get together the right things she needed to raise Joyce. Very knowledgeable in the magic department. But he's not human, but has a tail and could a a type of serpent demon, seen by the tail that emerged out of his robe while Dawn was there. Xander and Spike went to see the Doc to see if he could help them with a problem known as Glory. But it turned out that the Doc actually also worshipped Glory and trying to dispose of something which could help the gang to get rid of Glory Xander and Spike jumped him. Xander stabbed Doc with a huge sword, and Xander and Spike walked out of the shop with the the box needed. Doc was killed by Buffy, on the tower that Glory's insane people had built, he was thrown to the ground, and died on impact...we think.

Dreg is some kind of demon's answer to a groveling monk. He was working for Glory, helping her conjure up sobek, a kind of snake demon monster thing. He seemed to know Glory's power very well, and so did not make her angry. The Knights of Byzantium killed him when all of his kind of demon, working for Glory, launched an attack on them.

This demon lives by possessing unconscious or dead people. In Giles' younger and more rebellious days he was in a cult who called forth Eyghon and got the demon to possess people just for the high it gave. Years later Eyghon came to Sunnydale in search for it's next victim. Along with Giles, Ethan Rayne was in this cult. Both men have the mark of Eyghon on their forearms, as a tattoo. These tattoos acted like homing signals, so Ethan being the chicken that he is removed his tattoo with acid and drew another on Buffy. So the next target was Buffy. But in comes Willow with a cunning plan to get Eyghon to  possess Angel as he's dead, Angel's inner demon fought with him and expelled him.

Fish Demons

These fish type demons were in fact human at one stage. They were members of Sunnydale High's swim team. The new demons hatched from the skin of the old humans. They were kept in the sewers beneath the high school until they were let free.

Fyaral Demon

Giles got turned into a Fyaral demon by his old buddy Ethan Rayne. They're very strong and have a rock hard, paralyzing mucus. They often work with other demons as general workers and can be killed by a weapon made of silver.

During the more recent Halloween a Fraternity House on campus were throwing a Halloween party. And just to add a little more fright into the night they decide to draw the mark of Gachnar (unknowingly) and Gachnar was being summoned. Gachnar feeds of fear, and at the Halloween party he manifested each persons biggest fears, and so creating masses of fear. So Gachnar seemed pretty scary, well that is until Buffy summoned him by mistake. Well all that can be said is little show, and Buffy squished him with one stomp of her foot.

The Gentlemen are the evil part of fairy tales. They come to towns and steal everyone's voices. to survive The Gentlemen need seven hearts. When they set about to get these human hearts, with some demented looking straight jacketed people. The people can't scream, as their voice has been taken away. Instead of walking they hover. The only thing which can kill The Gentlemen is a human voice. When The Gentlemen came to Sunnydale they had successfully taken three hearts, before Buffy and Riley found out where there hide away was. Sunnydale's voices were kept in a box, when Riley smashed the box, all voices were returned, and Buffy let out a roaring scream, and The Gentlemen's' heads all exploded.

This demon was summoned by Andrew so that Buffy would keep away from their hide out as she was getting very close to finding them out. This demon has bug like eyes and isn't the most attractive of demons. It has a spike the juts out from it's arm which has some kind of poison on it which the demon injected into Buffy making her think that she was really in a psychiatric hospital. But the antidote is also attached to the same skewer and Willow made some the old fashioned way which Buffy drank, on a second attempt which cured her.

Halfrek's one of Anya vengeance demon friends. She was summoned by Anya to ask about the wedding and to see if she was able to come or not. Halfrek has however cast some worries on Anya's mind about her upcoming wedding. She also granted a wish for Dawn, to stop anyone leaving the Summers' home during Buffy's birthday. There also seems to be a link between her and Spike, they could have had a passed relationship many years ago. Halfrek was sadly killed by her own "boss" D'Hoffryn when Anya was willing to lay down her life in order to reverse a wish, but D'Hoffryn chose to take Halfrek's life.

This demon was fist seen on the night that Buffy first died. It lives in the hellmouth, and on that night the hellmouth was due to open. It opened and part of this demon cam out. But after the Master was killed the demon went back into hiding and the hellmouth was close. The next time this demon was seen was when the sisterhood of Jhei wanted to end the world, by opening the hellmouth. When it did open the gang found out that the hellmouth demon had grown since last time. They all battled it out and managed to defeat it and prevent the end of the world. 

Horned Demon

This demon crossed Faith & Buffy's paths while they were on patrol. He offered them the Books of Ascension, something the mayor would have liked to have got his hands on. But seeing as Faith was working on the mayor's side she went to the demon's place and killed him, brutally. 

The Judge was a indestructible warrior who scorched the humanity out of anyone. Only a person of true evil could withstand The Judge's power. Since "no weapon forged" could kill The Judge, he was dismembered and the parts were scattered around the world. For Drusilla's birthday Spike decided it was time to end the human race, so he brought all the parts of the Judge together and resurrected him. He began to try and rid the world of the human race. Back then no weapon forged could destroy the Judge, but now there are rocket launchers. Which Buffy uses this weapon with ease and this does the job just great.

Buffy thought that college life isn't that bad, but she didn't know that her own room mate was a demon. Kathy sneaked into the mortal realm to attend college. But her father sent some people after her, to retrieve her and take her back to where she belongs. The one way in which the her people can tell a demon from a human is the absence of a soul. So Kathy sets out to steal Buffy's soul. This made Buffy not act herself. As Buffy was acting mean 'n' all Xander, Willow, Giles and Oz thought that when Buffy said she had to kill Kathy because she's a demon, they thought she was possessed, and bound her up...not for long. Kathy and Buffy had a fight off, but Kathy was dragged away by her not so happy father.

Ken seemed pretty normal on the outside, just a bit of a geek. He reached out to runaways on the streets of LA. But his sole purpose was not just to get these kids off the street, but off the streets and into hell, to work for him. He took people in with no family or friends, basically no one who cared about them. In hell time goes by quicker, so 1 day on Earth equals 100 years in hell. Ken would work the kids until they're too old to work and spit them back out, unrecognisable. Ken was the leader of this underworld, and he had many demon followers who helped him. Unfortunate for him he chose one of Buffy's friends, and Buffy came in and ruined everything. The door to hell was sealed, and Ken was "Ghandied". And did anybody else notice that Ken was in Angel, but a different character, but still demon?!

Krevin was a person invited to Anya and Xander's wedding, by Anya. His skin has strange boil like features on them, but otherwise he is a good demon.

Kulak was hired by Mr. Trick to hunt down the slayers in Slayerfest '98. Mr. Trick called him a "spiny headed thang". He was a member of the Weequay clan, until he got blown up by a grenade. His weapons were a pair of razor sharp knife like weapons. These were stored in the handiest place possible, in his arms. 

Lagos is a pretty old demon, from the medieval times. Lagos was in Sunnydale searching for the elusive Glove of Myhnegon, the exact same glove which Miss Post was after. But he didn't get very far, as he got killed by Buffy, and he didn't even have the glove. 

This demon was fund by Glory in Sunnydale Hospital looking for people's bone marrow to suck, that's how it feeds. Not much is known about this demon, but it has it's own clan type thing. They attacked the Magic Box, but were killed by Buffy with some help from Spike.

Lurconis lives in the sewers beneath Sunnydale. Lurconis is a ritual type of demon. For the Mayor's ascension to proceed a sacrifice of new born babies had to be given to him. Mr. Trick set up the time, when all adults were too busy thinking of Candy, than of protecting their children. An the Candy was supplied by none other than Ethan Rayne. Unfortunately Buffy was around when the sacrifice was meant to occur, and Lurconis got a bit burnt and retreated back into hi lair. However there was no sign that Lurconis was dead, so is he still alive??

Machida was a huge snake like demon. He lived in the basement of a fraternity house. Every year three women were sacrificed to Machida, and done successfully the members of the fraternity would gain rewards . But unfortunately for the fraternity members they decided to sacrifice Buffy, and since she's the slayer, she slew, and now Machida is dead and all fraternity members lost their wealth and failed in life. 

The Mayor of Sunnydale: Mayor Wilkins III

The Mayor is a demon who was over 100 years old. He was the Mayor of Sunnydale for the whole time that Sunnydale has existed. However the smart thing is that he's changed which Mayor he is over the past years, i.e. Mayor I, Mayor II and more recently Mayor III. Willow and Oz found out about this. To protect himself the Mayor hired Mr. Trick to carry out any killing, and his major agenda were the slayers. But also Mr. Trick helped out while the Mayor had to carry out his rituals leading up to the ascension. But Mr. Trick got unlucky and was unfortunately killed by Faith. But then Faith stepped in to replace Mr. Trick. The Mayor and Faith built up a father/daughter relationship up together. With all rituals done and the day of the ascension approaching fast, which just happened to be Graduation Day too, The Mayor was ready. On Graduation Day the Mayor turned into a fully fledged demon, bigger and stronger than anything Buffy had encountered. So in come the graduating class, with their flame throwers and cross bows. Now this the Mayor was definitely not expecting. Buffy led him to the library, where there was enough explosives to put a hole in the school, and Giles pushed the trigger. A hole in the school made, and burnt Mayor on the side.

This demon was controlled by Andrew, Jonathan and Warren to cause some chaos in a bank while they stole some money. However the demon met the slayer whilst there, and then wanted to kill her. He was given Buffy's address by Warren and fought Buffy in the Summers' home. In the basement he was pummeled by a large pipe, by Buffy.

Years ago Moloch was trapped in a book by monks, but when this book ended up in Sunnydale High, the book was scanned into a computer and released onto the internet. With the help of techno-pagan Miss Calender the demon is trapped in robot form and Buffy does her job and kills the demon.

Since Joyce worked at the gallery she owned quite a lot of artifacts, among them a Nigerian mask. Joyce was oblivious to the fact that this mask held the zombie demon called Ovu Mobani. The mask had the ability to awaken the dead. When it did this in Sunnydale it wreaked havoc. All dead were rising and heading towards the Summers' house. All of them were aiming to put on the mask. When a zombie does this it becomes the demon incarnate. One of Joyce's friend's was killed by a zombie, and put on the mask, and became Ovu Mobani. If you look into it's eyes you freeze. The power is all in the eyes. And the only way to kill it is to puncture it's eyes, and Buffy did this, pretty well with a spade.

This troll wasn't always a troll. He used to be a human until Anya turned him into a troll when he two timed her during her human days. Soon after he was turned into a troll witches banished him into a crystal. He's not a typical troll. Very tall and extremely strong. He carries a huge hammer around with him which is the source of most of his strength. There he remained until Willow accidentally broke the spell, by breaking the crystal. He then reeked havoc in Sunnydale, smashing things everywhere. He smashed up The Bronze pretty well. He was killed by his own hammer, by the hand of Buffy.

These demons have a particularly affective attack hidden in their arms, and sharp spear protrudes through the arm in battle. Maggie Walsh liked this idea, and had the polgara captured by her commandos, and had the arm amputated from the demon to Adam. Her creation of the perfect soldier.

Praying Mantis Lady

The Praying Mantis Lady or rather demon disguised herself as a human, a Miss Natalie French, and killed Sunnydale High's Biology teacher and stole the identity of a former teacher and subbed herself in. When there she would look for male virgins with whom she could use in order to produce eggs. Xander just happened to be picked as on potential mate and was imprisoned in her basement. Buffy, Giles & Willow saved him. After he was released he went and destroyed the eggs which were created. Almost all of them anyway.

This demon crashed down to earth in what seemed to be a meteorite. It was summoned by Ben, a helper to Glory. The demon looks like a half person/half cockroach. It has no legs and so scurries around like an insect. It feeds off mad people. And so was sent down to Earth to feed off the insane people that glory had accumulated. It went after Joyce, as she was temporarily slightly insane. When it tried to feed off Joyce Dawn shoved it out of the way with a coat pole. With a little help from Spike, Buffy stabbed the demon in the kitchen of the Summers' home.

Razor was the lead demon biker in a group of demon bikers. After hearing that Buffy was dead in Sunnydale and that a robot had replaced her, he took him and his boys on a road trip to Sunnydale. There they started the mayhem, just mindlessly destroying things, including the BuffyBot, who's arms and legs were torn off. After he found out that there was another Buffy he went after her and the Scooby Gang. He attempts to fight the slayer, she knocks him down. He then regains consciousness and starts attacking the Scooby Gang, but Tara lands an axe in his back to protect her girl.

This kind of demon causes localised temporal faults in time causing a human's perception of time and when things happened to be distorted. This demon was summoned by Andrew to make Buffy believe that she killed Katrina in the fight.

Sisterhood of Jhe

The sisterhood of Jhe are a group of female demon warriors bent on bringing around the end of the world via opening the hellmouth. They almost succeeded at doing this. They managed to open the hellmouth and the hellmouth demon was released, only the Scooby gang managed to close it, just in time. 

Hans and Greta appeared every 50 years to create havoc in villages and towns by creating a witch hunt. Both children pretend to have been killed and then plead to the adults to stop whoever killed them. When this happened in Sunnydale there were actual witches in danger, Amy. But also Buffy and Willow were accused and almost burned at the stake. But before this Buffy had already seen past the lie, and Giles, with the help of an incantation, revealed the true demon, and Buffy put a stake through it's...throat.

Sobek was originally from the Egyptian era. Conjured up by Glory to find the key for her. That it did, but unfortunately came across Buffy at the same time. Buffy hunted it down and pummeled it to a green and bloody pulp. In the books is says that sobek is meant to be a crocodile, but in BtVs he was a snake, close, both reptiles.

The Suvolte demon was in Sunnydale, going to the hellmouth to lay it's eggs. One Suvolte lays about 10 eggs, and those then lay another 10, and they can pretty much take over any population. This one was being tracked by Riley and his wife Sam through South America. Riley went to Buffy for help in tracking it and locating it's eggs. But Buffy wasn't told about the whole mission first and killed the demon the first chance she got.

A demon from a hell dimension he uses the power of song to kill people. They get so into the rhythm of it all it burns inside them, and that burning turns to fire, so they combust, spontaneously. Sweet was summoned by Xander using an amulet. He caused mayhem in Sunnydale, first presuming Dawn summoned him as she was wearing the amulet. Dawn was going to be taken down to hell as his queen. But seeing as Xander summoned him, things didn't pan out for him, and he went back to his dimension with nothing. 

Sweet had him a few strange looking accomplices. They all looked like wooden puppets and there were three of them.

Tapparich

Father of Kathy who was a former room mate of Buffy's during her freshman year at UC Sunnydale. Tapparich came to UC Sunnydale in order to retrieve his daughter who had gone to college without his consent.

Toth was seen in Sunnydale looking for the Slayer, i.e. Buffy. He planned to split her in two. To do this he had a device which shot out a light. Anything that it hits gets split. The Buffy, Buffy Summers and The Slayer. The Buffy, Buffy Summers would be weak and powerless. And then Toth would be able to kill the weaker one and so the Slayer part would also die. Unfortunately Xander was the unlikely victim of Toth's. His personality got split in two. But the Scooby's did manage to put Xander together again, with the help of one if Willow's incantations.

Teeth was the loan shark who had come to Spike to retrieve the kittens that he owed from betting a while ago. He had a few vampire lackey's with him, most of which were killed by Spike and Buffy. Teeth strolled out of town without his kittens. 

The Ugly Man

The Ugly Man was the demon manifestation by a kid called Billy Palmer. Billy was put in a coma by his little league coach. When in the coma he had nightmares, only with Sunnydale and its very own Hellmouth, those nightmares manifested. As did Billy's fear of his coach, which manifested as The Ugly Man. This demon could only be defeated by Billy himself. And once Buffy had done the initial take down Billy did the rest and revealed the coach's identity.

Vahrall Demons

These demons are described as being slick like gold, and gird in moonlight, father of portents, and brother to blight, limbs of talons, eyes like knives, bane of the blameless, thief of lives. There were three of them in Sunnydale all trying to bring about the end of the world, again, by opening up the Hellmouth. They almost succeeded but Buffy and Riley intercepted and stopped the end of the world.

This elderly woman looked pretty normal. She was a regular at Doublemeat Palace, and she didn't eat the burgers, she ate the workers. She had a snake like being living in her head, which came out upon feeding. When it sees it's victims, the victims and paralysed from the bottom up. Buffy encountered her and she was fed off, until Willow severed its head and put it in the meat grinder.
