The Box Says:
A demon trading in a drug created from the souls of the unborn. A demonic gladiator contest held in the Initiative’s old HQ. A rogue Slayer. A vampire with a soul. A blast from the distant past...It’s a new writing team on Buffy - X-Men’s fan-favourites Scott Lobdell and Fabian Nicieza - and in ‘Notes from the Underground’, they’ve already turned up the heat! Set after Buffy’s sixth season, this all-action adventure brings Buffy, Angel and Faith back together as their investigations lead them to a terrible secret! But who is the mysterious man in black who’s helping Buffy? His clothers say Riley Finn...but has Buffy’s wayward ex-boyfriend really returned? Or could it be an even bigger shock?
We think:
If Scott writes it...Ali will buy it. I LOVE Scott Lobdell. He's a genius and 'Notes From The Underground' is no exception. A WELCOME (and surprise) return from Buffy's past. I won't say who's returning in case SOMEONE reading this is "NO!!! I can't believe I just read that!" because they don't want to be spoiled.
This is also cool because it takes you up to Buffy's 50th comic issue.
As with 'Haunted'...getting the photo covers is a must (for me anyway). However...the usual artwork is also lovely. So it's not really a bust if you can't get the photo covers.
