Summary:
With Angel at the bottom of the ocean, Cordelia having ascended and Lorne in Las Vegas, Fred and Gunn have been left to run Angel Investigations, search for their missing friends and look after Connor. Meanwhile, Wesley forces a captive Justine to help him search the depths of the ocean for his old boss and one time friend.

In an effort to locate Cordelia, Angel goes to see 'Dinza' a collector of souls who points him in the direction of the 'axis' a relic that can loacte souls accross dimensions. Unfortunately, Angel isn't the only person after the axis.

When Angel learns that The Beast may have some connection to Connor, he follows the two of them to the Wolfram & Hart offices where he finds The Beast in the White Room after it has turned all the employees into zombies. The gang find help from an unexpected source.

With the help of Gwen Raiden, the team learn that The Beast is searching for five Totems, he already has three and when he has the full set he will be able to perform a ritual that will block the sun's light from Los Angeles and then the world.

When Cordelia reveals that Angelus and The Beast have a past that Angel cannot recall, the gang decide that the only way to defeat The Beast will be to remove Angel's soul and bring back Angelus.

With Angel's soul locked safely away in a safe and Angelus locked safely away in a cage, the gang begin their interrogation and, in between the arguments brought on by Angelus' comments, they learn that The Beast was previously banished by three Nordic Svear Priestess. They set off to find the current Svears only to find that The Beast has been there before them.

Finding Angel's soul missing, the gang turn to Wo-Pang for answers but he does not have the soul. Cordelia helpfully has a vision describing how they can return Angel's soul, they peform the ritual and it appears to have worked until Cordelia opens the cage and we find Angelus is still with us and now loose.

Summary:
With Angelus on the rampage there is only one person who can stop him and save Angel: Faith and Wesley helps break her out of jail. Learning there is a slayer in town, Angelus sets a trap for Faith and The Beast.

While Faith recuperates from her battle with The Beast, Angelus finds himself in communication with The Beast's Master who is not altogether happy that Angelus killed it's pet. Wesley and Faith track Angelus, locating him at a warehouse where an almighty fight takes place.

Hiding in from Jasmine and her followers, Angel and crew bump into a group of teenagers living in the sewers and a demon from Jasmine's previous dimension.

In Jasmine's dimension, Angel finds her priest and learns the word that will break her spell, meanwhile Jasmin, with the rest of Angel's team securely in the basement, prepares for TV broadcast to the world.
