- The ULTIMATE BUFFY Episode Countdown
Here's more countdown. Drink it and you shall have eternal life...or various
disagreements.
Willow is all depressed because Oz left her. Oh, get over it already. Well, she doesn't, and so
she ends up messing her friends' lives up in the process. Buffy and Spike are in love, which gets certain
fans all swoony and really wasn't meant to do that. Xander is a demon magnet (right on target there), and Giles
is going blind. I mean she REALLY messed things up. But cookies always makes everything ok, right?
Buffy can hear everyone's thoughts thanks to a mystical rash given to her by a demon. Only in the Buffyverse
can you get away with using the words 'mystical rash' in a sentence. She hears that someone is going to kill
students. The gang thinks it's Jonathan -- turns out he was only trying to off himself. It's the lunch lady
with her cunning 'let's put rat poison in the mulligan stew' plan. Dyabolical genius.
Ethan Rayne comes to town to spread a little chaos around. He succeeds quite nicely. Everyone turns into
what they're wearing for Halloween. Buffy is an 18th century princess, Xander is an army commando, and Willow
is a sexy ghost. Oh, and don't forget the dread pirate Larry. "The dread pirate Larry" really doesn't put much fear
into the hearts of man.
Everyone gets amnesia. Hillarity ensues. Spike thinks he's Giles' son, Randy. Giles thinks he's married to Anya. Willow
thinks she's with Xander, but a little gay. And Joan thinks she's a superhero. I mean, Buffy thinks she's Joan. I mean,
I don't know what I mean. Anyway, this is all Willow's fault and Tara leaves her at the end because of it. We
also get Michelle Branch singing at the Bronze as Buffy and Spike makeout and Giles leaves town. Two things I'd
rather forget.
Xander is pissed off and he's not going to take it. Cordy dumps him on Valentine's Day, so he decides to use
Amy (who is now a witch, because obviously she learned nothing from her mother's demise) to put a spell on Cordy,
but as per the norm with anything in Sunnydale; it backfires. Everyone except Cordy is drawn to Xander. Then
Buffy gets turned into a rat, and Giles gets pissed, and it's a whole big thing. The spell is reversed, and Xander's
bright idea is to pretend it was a scavenger hunt. Everyone buys it, or at least they say they do. Denial is
like brushing one's teeth in Sunnydale.
joel: ur website sux!! Spike_and_Angel: Spells going wrong are always funny. I think about sex all the time! 5x4 is 30. 5x6 is 36! naked girls! Naked women! Naked Buffy! Oh stop me! Atalanta: Halloween should be lower.. wasn't a bad episode but there were lots better. And Tabula Rasa should be way lower, really not a favourite of mine, other than the ending with Tara leaving etc to 'Goodbye to You'.. brilliant. And Anya & Giles kissing, fun. But the overall episode.. not that good. BB&B is pretty good, but I wouldn't put it in the top 20. Well_DUH: I don't understand why Hellmouth Central does these things. stone__fox: wow that wacky spell episodes were all lumped together. Thats cause there all really funny! The Demon Al Franken: Damn -- now that we've hit the top 20, I'm reminded what a freaking brilliant show this was. Thanks for givng us such a great trip down memory lane. I think I'll get my DVDs out now... my_angel: love all these epies!!!!! can't wait to see the resto the countdown! Lucky: i think something blue and Tabula Rasa need to switch then switch Tabula Rasa with something else that need to be higher Levis Omelasz: Agree with everything apart from Tabula Rasa which should have been much lower.
