About This Site

Trivia? Huh? What’s that?
The dictionary definition of ‘trivia’ is:

1. unimportant matters or details; trifles.
2. inessential or little known information or facts.
(from The New Penguin English Dictionary).

This site contains thousands of pieces of Buffy the Vampire Slayer-related trivia, organised into various categories and sub-categories, and fully inter-linked. The trivia could be anything from information on the guy who played Mitch in Out of Sight, Out of Mind to details on to Alyson’s Hannigan’s allergies.
It’s all rather pointless and won’t stop world hunger, but hey, it’s fun and it passes the time!

So how do I use this site?
The site is designed to be user-friendly. Full navigation is to the right and is self-explanatory. When you click on a trivia category on the left (such as “Cast”) you will be taken to that category, which will then list sub-categories on the right. On each individual trivia page, you’ll find resources (such as the source of the trivia, related trivia and external links) as well as a comment form for you to discuss the trivia.

Why should I register?
Registered users can write comments about all the trivia on this site and suggest new trivia online.

Where do you get the trivia from?
Books, websites, interviews, magazines, cast and crew members, visitors to this site, and from watching the shows. Over and over and over until my DVD player starts screaming for something without a vampire in it (which is when I play season six). All sources are credited (where possible) and I try my best to make the information as accurate as I can. Check out the resources page for more information.

Can I send you some trivia?
Yes please! You can either register and suggest trivia online or email me at jess@restlessbtvs.com

Is this website finished?
No, and it’ll probably never be really complete. It says a lot about Buffy that this site is more popular a couple of years after the end of the show than it’s ever been. So I’m constantly adding new trivia and modifying old trivia and finding new things to write about.

Tell me some geeky stuff…
This site is powered by WordPress 1.5 which I’ve mercilessly hacked into pieces to get the look and style that I want. I always hand code websites (except where WordPress has helped me along!). There are many great WordPress plugins which have made this site possible, including Related Posts, Headline Images and Get Custom Field Values.
