The Disney Channel has a show called W.I.T.C.H which has characters similar to Buffy’s Willow and Tara: one character is named ‘Will’, and has short red hair and is a tomboy. Another character is named Taranee and is “the shy one”. There is also another character named ‘Cornelia’. |

And there’s a girl named Cornelia. “There’s two things I don’t believe in: coincidences, and leprechauns.”

Oooh. That’s cool. Does he have pointy ears? Or is that elves? I think that might be elves.
February 6th, 2006 at 8:51 am
You’re learning Greek? That’s gotta be really cool … or, um, Biblical Greek, is that different than regular Greek? Sorry, don’t know much Bible-wise. Or, I guess, Greek-wise.

and a Caleb also, guy seems nicer but somehow more shallow, almost two dimensional.

That’s awesome. I wanted to learn Latin and stuff but unfortunately I’m stuck in Spanish so while you’re reading the Bible in it’s original language (v. cool) I can figure out why Pedro and Alicia are going to the store.

MagicBone, speaking as someone who graduated college with a degree in Spanish, you shouldn’t look at it as being “stuck” in Spanish. Spanish has its roots in Latin. I took some Latin in college too and it was WAY easier after having studied Spanish. Embrace the Spanish experience for it will serve you well…. Besides, then you can go back and watch all the Buffy DVDs in Spanish–hilarious! Most of the jokes don’t translate as well, but hey, still fun. Once More With Feeling was interesting. Some songs were dubbed, but others they couldn’t translate very well, so they used subtitles.

Now I want to learn French so I can watch the Buffy DVDs in French.
February 8th, 2006 at 3:25 am
I like learning Spanish, emphasis on the learning(would be in italics but not sure how to do italics) but my teacher has taught us very little. About Spanish, I mean. We know tons about his grandparents’ house in Mexico and how he’s scared of chihuhuas (spelling bad … tree pretty) ‘cause they used to chase him in a field, and how to walk on a cliff. Taking Spanish again next year, hopefully I’ll get a better teacher. Also, sometimes he talks to us in Arabic and German. We’re never quite sure which one it is.
Or maybe they were going to the store to buy el sandwich. To drink with la fresca.

Whats funny is that the french teacher at my school will let students bring in TV shows on DVD and she lets them watch them as long as it is in french. We all know what foreign language I’m taking next year…
February 8th, 2006 at 8:43 am
That’s so awesome. And then you learn how to say “The couch touched me from Wednesday” in French.
February 8th, 2006 at 9:45 am
Bad teachers suck. I hope you get a better teacher next year, MagicBone. Maybe you should transfer to Abby M’s school and take French. Funny story: I studied in Spain for a year and all my classes were in Spanish, including my German class. Very trippy. I don’t recommend learning a third language in your second language. I wonder if the DVDs will let me watch Buffy dubbed in Spanish with French subtitles, or vice versa… Hmmm… Now I have to go play and find out.

I thought it was the cow should touch me from thursday.
February 8th, 2006 at 7:42 pm
Oh, it might have been Thursday (by which I mean: ant4buffy is correct).
My mom took Spanish for like 3 years in high school and all she remembers is como esta? My dad can say ‘where is the library’ and ‘I invited the Vincents to dinner’ in French and eight in Italian. Coming from a loud Italian family, I know other phrases like “Shutta you mouf.” I can also say fuck you in Italian, but I don’t know how to write it. I don’t know any Spanish swear words but I can sing ‘Where is Thumbkin?’ in Spanish.

BoysP, I have the “Hi, Everything’s Great” CD and it is really good.. You are the first person that I’ve met who knows that band.
February 12th, 2006 at 8:58 pm
bplease, Don’t worry, I think we all are a bit topic, I mean… leprechauns, bliblical Greek, elves.. :P
And isn’t that just the greatest thing about life? Humhum..

Yeah, this site has changed looks more often then Oz and Anya changed their hair color - combined!
Had to say it, it was playing at my mind all day, but seriously Jess, I like the new look. Very clean cut.
February 13th, 2006 at 6:34 am
It does look very spiffy, it does. The site look all professional and Intiative-like, at least to me.
February 13th, 2006 at 6:46 am
Yes … but in a good way. Not in a government-conspiracy way. I love it!
“Don’t you look spiffy??
“Spiffy?”
February 13th, 2006 at 2:28 pm
I know, sorry about all the changes - I look at the site so much that I’m always getting bored and want to change it’s style!
February 13th, 2006 at 2:50 pm
The new look is good, although it was very surprising to see. However, I do wish that we could see the big list of latest comments.
February 13th, 2006 at 3:19 pm
Your wish is my command - have added in the comments link now.
February 13th, 2006 at 3:32 pm
Thank you.
February 13th, 2006 at 9:20 pm
Jess, I cant seem to find the episode music guides. Has that changed too.
I accidentally deleted my season 3 guide and wanted to double check the new one I have made was okay.
February 13th, 2006 at 11:20 pm
The design of the site now is diffrent fom the rest, more “metally” this one is..
Not so much with the coulor but I love it of course. :D

I love watching Leave it to Beaver reruns in Spanish on Telemundo :donde está el castor? (Which is good to know if you are in Tijuana on business) It is almost as amusing as Indian soap operas.
Back to this W.I.T.C.H. thing- are Will and Taranee friends? good friends? girl friends? or lesbian gay-type lovers?
February 19th, 2006 at 6:08 pm
What I like about her is that she thinks “cookinG” muffins, would get her out of troubel, (if she was in any)
February 20th, 2006 at 12:15 am
I love how she presents her entire life story..too funny. And her name: Anya Christina Emanuela Jenkins…whoever writes this stuff is a god.
February 20th, 2006 at 2:32 am
Born on the fourth of July and don’t think I didn;t get stuff about that my whole life, mister, ‘cause I did. “Who’s our little patriot?” they would say when I was younger and therefore shorter and smaller.
(exhale)
February 20th, 2006 at 3:02 am
Ahh…MagicBone you slay me!
(not in a Buffy way of course)
February 20th, 2006 at 3:42 am
Is that the special hell?
