actually, plenty of driver’s ed cars don’t have passenger-side brake pedals. I took driver’s ed in high school and ours didn’t have one.

I’m not sure it’s even legal for a professional driving instructor to have a car without dual controls in the UK. Certainly never heard of such a thing.
