I think this was chapstick. Because when she puts it on, we see no color being added.
When she exits the bathroom she seems to have put on a lot of make-up, though. Maybe they were trying to show how much more alive she looked after the death kiss??

I can’t speak for everyone, but after I engage in the “death kiss”, it always puts color in my cheeks…
