[2.07-38.47] Drusilla

Goof seen in: Lie to Me at 38.47

Why does Buffy spare Drusilla? She knows she’s an ally of Spike and she could have easily staked the vampire and escaped.

But then Crush wouldnt have been as fun.
But Kendra would have still been alive and Faith would never have gotten the chance to go evil. But then all of the Scoobies would have died because they wouldn’t have had any idea what the Mayor was up to and the series would have ended in season 3 and trust me, no one wants that. So thank god Buffy didnt kill Dru in season 2.

I don’t think it would have ended in season 3, cause if Faith wasn’t around the gang would have gotten/bought/borrowed (whatever) the books of Ascencion from the demon, and would have been very well prepared for the Mayor.

But, I agree, it would have been bad (entertainment-wise) if Buffy had killed Dru.

good point….I never thought of that.

Also, it seems worth noting that one reason to keep her alive is that it saved her a fight with Spike at the time, as she may not have been able to stake Drusilla and get out of the building before Spike could get to her. Had Spike gotten there, she would have been stuck fighting him and the rest of the vampires in the building. This seems to be a fight worth avoiding. That is just one opinion, however. Plus, it would have changed the outcome of the much of the events in the series, and that would have been less fun.
