Not only are the residents of Sunnydale burning their own kids, but they’re doing it inside too! What if City Hall went up in flames? Proves once again that the vast majority of people in Sunnydale are total idiots. |

The people of Sunnydale were so deeply entranced by the little demon children that they weren’t thinking too clearly — as demonstrated by the fact that they were burning their children!

But still, the people of Sunnydale sure do let a lot of things escape their attention and they have that ’selective memory’ thing down. I am going to go with the whole ‘total idiots’ theory. :)

Of course they are total idiots or they would have moved out os Sunnydale a long time ago. Maybe Moreno Valley, some place a little less Hellmouthy.

Also, is the Mayor under the mind control of the demon? Why else would he let them burn down city hall with all his evil goodies in his cupboard?

It makes you think doesnt it? Did the writers/actors/ set designers/ anyone there, even think “hey, we’re burning them INSIDE!”.
I like to think they did, but left it anyway so we could talk about it on websites like this.
