Goof seen in: The Freshman at 16.50
In The Yoko Factor, Angel cannot enter Buffy’s dorm room without invitation, so how did Sunday’s vampires get in to steal her stuff in The Freshman? This doesn’t count only for Buffy - the vamps are able to access Eddie’s room as well, and presumably they can get into the rooms of the other students they killed. How do they do that? |

Well they definately shouldn’t have been able to get into Buffy’s room since neither Kathy or Buffy were dead, but they were justified in entering the other ones. I didn’t find any examples in the Buffy series but in the first season of Angel (episode 15 “The Prodigal” specifically) Angel couldn’t enter the apartment of Kate’s father Trevor until the vamps inside killed him. Since Joss did make both series, it’s safe to assume the same rules apply to the Buffy universe. Vamps can enter the domicile of a dead man.

if i remember correctly, the freshman is one of the first episodes of season 4. that would mean maybe Buffy hadn’t really considered her dorm room her living space just yet, and it only counts if a human has made it their living space. in angel, angel couldn’t enter fred’s hotel room once she had made it her personal living space even thought he owns the hotel.

Well Buffy had died and Kathy wasn’t human, so the real question becomes why did the vamps THINK they could enter the room??

Well obviously, the vampires used to be students didn’t they? So they were invited into all the dorms. I guess if they were invited when they were human they’re still invited as vampires? Although I’m not sure about that!
