It’s only green and white during the fight/sex scene, and red directly after, so maybe that part was just in Buffy’s imagination, as she wouldn’t know what kind of pillowcases Riley has.

I honestly don’t know. I’ve always been kind of confused by that scene.
Are we supposed to interpret it as something that will happen in the future, or is it just in Buffy’s imagination? If the latter is true the pillowcase thing makes more sense, as it would be the writer’s way of telling us this is just fantasy, and not happening (yet).
But this is just a (possibly insane) theory.

I think the scene took place right after, and they just used he red sheets and pillowcases to make it look more like Parker’s “morning after scene”, as his were the same colour. Why they were different, I think it’s just a continuity error.
