Goof seen in: Fool For Love at 33.02

Spike said to Buffy in School Hard, “The last Slayer I killed begged for her life.” But when they show him killing the Slayer, she doesn’t say a word.

Perhaps he was lying to Angel

  2. Lilwenn says:

It seems that she actually did beg. In Angel Episode 5x11, when Spike is being tortured by a Slayer (Dana, who has “visions” of past Slayers)..:

    DANA
    (cowering)
Please don’t. I have to get home to my son… to my Robin.

    SPIKE
Robin? Oh. Hey, you’re talkin’ about Nikki, the slayer I offed back in—
    (Dana looks up at him)
Uh, yeah. You probably don’t want to think about that, pet.

I just think he was taunting Buffy. That’s all.

  4. Jess says:

Lying to be cool? No, Spike would NEVER do that.

  5. Mel says:

In Fool For Love, we don’t hear any talking from Spike or Nikki in the flashback, what we hear is Spike talking to Buffy in the present so we dont really hear what Nikki is saying to Spike.

The flashback are quite frequent so maybe Nikki did say something to Spike.

I agree with Lilween, I think she said, “Please don’t. I have to get home to my son… to my Robin.” to Spike. Maybe she said it before the flashback started or it could be (what Mel said) that we are just hearing what Spike is saying to Buffy.

2 things - Niki probably said the whole thing about “I have to get home to my son…” right before Spike snapped her neck (ugg, very graphic) when they were in the dark and all you could hear was Spike talking and even though I hope Spike would NEVER lie to look cool, didn’t he talk about how he knew Dracula back in the day, or whatever? And this is going against everything I believe in, but Spike was probably lying then.
