The council member asks Xander if he has any special skills to help Buffy and Xander replies “no”. What about the soldier skills he obtained in Halloween which helped Buffy to defeat the Judge and the Mayor? |

In the original script Xander mentions his time as a soldier, but that he forgot all about it (I assume this was cut for length). If you look closely you can still see the Watcher erasing his notes that he made before Xander mentioned the forgot-it-all part.

Yeah, in the season 4 episode where they get the Blaster, Xander mentions how he can’t remember any of his soldier skills which is why he can’t figure out how to use it, so I suppose he doesn’t have any skills to help Buffy out anymore
