In Older and Far Away, Spike is still bruised from the beating Buffy gave him in Dead Things.

      But damn he looks so sexy when he’s bruised ;o)

      Yeah, I just watched School Hard and saw Buffy and her mom kick his ass. Good stuff. I wonder why he has such an irregular bruised patturn.

      I think it’s to do with how badly he gets beat up. The only two times we’ve actually seen the after effects of a harsh beating would be in Tough Love and Older and Far Away - in Intervention (before TL), hello, beaten by a god, and in Dead Things (before OaFA), beaten by an extremely frustrated Slayer. Both incidents are bound to leave bruises (even if he does heal quickly) because the two assailants are super strong.

      But normally he can handle himself in a fight and won’t let himself get beat up. I’m thinking if he does end up facing someone a bit stronger than him and gets hurt, his injuries probably heal quickly. Hence the irregularity of bruising.

      Or maybe I’m talking crap, always a possibility when I’m suffering from a lack of sleep O_O
