She has also been in several movies including Minority Report, Father of the Bride 2 and Bye Bye, Love (which also starred Amber Benson and Eliza Dushku). |

IMDB lists “Anne, Spike’s Mother” as being played by Gemma Jones. What’s up with that?

For some reason they’re both listed as playing the same part, not really sure why. Gemma Jones is listed like you said, but for Caroline it just says “Anne”.

The IMDB is notoriously inaccurate. Caroline definitely played the role. I remember Joss Whedon saying in an interview that the IMDB kept saying he wrote for ‘Boy Meets World’ or some similar show, which he found hilarious as he’s never had anything to do with the show.
