Buffy producers had apparently originally planned for Tucker Wells to be part of the nerd trio, and for him to be the leader. Brad Kane (who played Tucker) was unavailable so the character of Andrew was written. The producers had been impressed by Tom Lenk when he played Cyrus in Real Me so they cast him as Andrew and made Warren the leader. |

I’m so glad they couldn’t get tucker. his character would have totally changed the dynamic of the group

Yeah I’m really happy the character of Andrew was written instead. He was a great part of the Troika and I was pleased that he was brought back for season 7. I love how out of the three geeks, he was the one whose name no one remembered but he was the only one alive at the end!
