Enjoining spell

Willow, Giles, Buffy and Xander used an enjoining spell to enable Buffy to defeat Adam in Primeval. They combined their essences of Giles (Surfus or The Mind), Willow (Spiritus or The Spirit), Xander (Animus or The Heart), and Buffy (Manus or The Hand). Buffy became indestructible, and was able to remove Adam’s uranium power core. The spell brought forth the First Slayer who attacked the Scoobies in their dreams in Restless.

I had a thought about the enjoining spell. Combining the essence’s of Xander, Giles, Willow and Buffy, could that maybe be a link to the character of Dawn? Giles - Dawn becomes a sort of junior watcher in series 7. Xander - he has no power, except he ’sees’ everything, Dawn also has no ‘power’ in the group. Willow - Dawn does a spell to bring her mother back, and also Dawn can be evil and good when she was the key, as can Willow when she gets all veiny (sp?) Buffy - she thinks she is a potential at one point and also is taught by Buffy to fight…ish. A Dawn was the ‘key’ it kinda makes sense to me that the four scoobies ‘unlocked’ her personality and traits. Anyone agree? I know its a bit ‘out there’ but still…

I think that’s a bit of a stretch. I think Dawn was just trying to find herself and figure out who she really is. She, like most adolescents, is greatly influenced by all the people around her. I think she just picked up traits from everyone, trying her hand at different skills and following the interests of those around her to see what suited her best. I never did notice how she did that before though, so thanks for the insight, Ste.
