As Cordy gives her speech of thanks, Snyder changes positions behind her in several different shots. In the long shots, he’s just to her right, and in the close up shots he’s not there.

Watch the hands of the characters while they are eating. Xander’s crisps turn into a sandwich and back, while Buffy suddenly has a drink in her hand.

When Buffy is talking to Willow about her parents, she shuts her locker. A few seconds later she shuts her locker again.

Willow takes off her rucksack twice but never puts it back on in between the two times.

If you look closely at the shot from outside the school early on in the episode (and use your zoom button on your DVD player!) you can see that the shot was actually taken from Teacher’s Pet. Willow can be seen sitting on a bench wearing a red t. shirt …

Surely someone in the audience must have heard the loud fight going on just behind the curtain? And who pulled the curtain? Where were the rest of the people in the talent show when all this was going on?

The knife in the corpse’s body disappears when Buffy picks up Sid and the curtain goes up.

After the demon is decapitated, Sid stabs him once and then as he pulls the knife out to stab him again you can see that the knife is clean, yet it should be bloody.

Willow is seen typing away at her computer in one scene but it doesn’t appear to be switched on, or it at least isn’t reacting to whatever she’s typing.

The “power circle” formed by Giles towards the end seems awfully quick for him to have determined so confidently that not one of the talent show participants was missing.

When Joyce says good night to Buffy before she goes to bed, Joyce leaves the light on, leaving the switch up. Buffy then turns off the light but later wakes up screaming. Joyce rushes in and turns the light on by turning the switch up - but it wasn’t down …

When the Scoobies sit on the stage, there are two guys behind Buffy, one with a guitar. Someone whistles to Buffy, and in the next shot, the guys have suddenly gone.

Angel says the First tried to make him kill himself (in Amends) but it actually tried to make Angel kill Buffy. Angel decided to kill himself to stop this happening.

Just before Willow is captured by Fritz at her house, the computer’s screen goes black to announce new mail. She doesn’t touch it, but when Buffy and Xander get to her room the computer is displaying the e-mail.

It would be impossible for Buffy not to see Dave’s hanging body as she entered the lab.
