I think this is ironic because Buffy herself expired in May 2001, after plummeting off a tower to save Dawn ant the world (we all remember that, don’t we?).

I think it’s a coincidence (which is a shame because I don’t believe in them) because I don’t think Joss intended to kill Buffy until midway through season 5. (Someone correct me if I’m wrong).

AnyaRocks: Actually, from what I’ve gathered, Joss has planned to kill Buffy at least since the end of the 3rd season. It was either ‘Graduation Day’ Part 1 or 2, during the dream she shared with Faith.
