In Empty Places Buffy leaves the Summers house in the same evening that Spike and Andrew set off on their Mission mission, and wanders off to find her empty house.
Then… right at the beginning of ‘Touched‘ Spike and Andrew are waiting out the daylight for night to fall again so they can ride back home without Spike catching fire in the sunshine. This means Buffy was at her empty house during the whole day Spike and Andrew were waiting, and the Potentals were resting, then planning the trapping of their Bringer.
It’s then night again, Spike and Andrew return and after hitting Faith a “bunch of times” Spike sets off to find Buffy. When he finds her she’s resting awake on the bed, but says she is “so tired” and “please may I just go to sleep” as if she has just gt there. Why didn’t she sleep during the day that has just passed? Something tells me the time-line got a bit messed up there… or have I got something wrong?

I don’t think this is an error - she just means that she doesn’t want to talk to Spike about the oncoming war because she’s sick of it.
She’s tired of the whole thing - thinks she’s found a place to get away and he finds her and starts on about it again. That makes sense to me.
