In A New Man, Giles and Xander both remark on Giles getting lost on campus. Since the set used for UC-Sunnydale was the same set used for the high school, either Giles never left the library when he was at the high school or he, well, is losing his mind. |

It may have been the same set but they are different settings and since Giles isn’t the librarian at UC Sunnydale and he has never been there it would be very easy for him to get lost.
