In Gile’s dream sequence in Restless, he sees Spike posing for photographers in the crypt. One of the poses Spike makes is like Jesus on the Cross arms stretched out to either side. This could be a reference to Chosen where Spike of course lays down his life to save the world only to be resurrected later on Angel. |

I honestly doubt that it has anything at all to do with the events of “Chosen”. I seriously doubt that the writers had even imagined a great deal of what was ahead for Spike, much less what happens three years later in the series finale (especially since Spike changed so much, and so many times, from that point until the end). But then, you never know, considering all of the foreshadowing that the show has had.

I’m inclined to agree with Twotogo. That action seems to be more ‘Spike being Spike’ than foreshadowing.

It doesn’t seem like foreshadowing, but it is a good thing to look back on and go “ahhhh” or maybe “hmmmm.”
