In Out of My Mind, Buffy says to Riley, “you are not going to die” to which he replies “I bet you say that to all the boys”. Buffy says something similar to Angel in Graduation Day (Part 2) when Angel has been poisoned by Faith. She tells Angel, “You’re gonna live. You have to live.” |

But isn’t Angel (un)dead already? Tho there is that Angel ep when Buffy came to visit and he gets ninja turtle juice on him and becomes mortal and lives again for a day.

Yes, he’s dead, but in the walking and talking way. I think she means dead in the underground-rotting way. Or big-pile-of-dust way.
