Joss Whedon appeared as Numfar in the Angel season two episode ‘Through The Looking Glass’. Joss had the idea of Numfar dancing the dance of joy and showed how it should be done, it was then decided that Joss should perform it himself. Andy Hallett (Lorne) didn’t know who it was until filming had finished. |

This is one of the funniest bits in season 2 of Angel - I love the Pylean episodes.
I laughed so hard at the dance and then when I found out it was Joss himself I laughed even harder.

Lmao, I had no idea it was Joss!! Utter brilliance. Mel’s right, it is absolutely one of season 2’s funniest scenes. When he started dancing the “dance of joy” I was in hysterics, and more so when he did the “dance of honour”…they look exactly the same!
Aah, I love him.

I love the fact that in the last episode of season two when Lornes mother has gone inside to her hut you can here her say ‘Numfar do the dance of shame’ Hilarious!

It really is. It is even that much funnier cause it’s Joss himself.

It’s Joss AND his name is Numfar, that is classic. I want to be his friend….Is that creepy?
