In ‘A Hole In The World’ when Fred’s first been infected by Illyria she worries about becoming a mummy. Spike tries to comfort her with: “I’ve fought plenty of mummies, and none of them were as pretty as you. Almost none.” This could be a small reference to Ampata in “Inca Mummy Girl“. |

Spike didn’t actually fight the mummy. In fact he didn’t appear in the episode at all.

As if that has ever stopped the writers before…..
It just seems that they might have had that episode in mind when they thought of that line, is what I meant.
