In the episode Potential, just as Amanda enters Buffy’s cubicle at the high school, look in the background, and you’ll see a man in a jacket and tie standing at a table talking to someone. It looks very much like Ken Lerner who portrayed Principal Flutie in season one of Buffy. |

Do you mean the guy in the top left of this photo? That’s not Flutie - too young.

Hmmmm, it really does look like him - the only thing is, he’s very out of focus (for a cameo of that nature I’d have thought it would be a bit more obvious?) and my boyfriend thinks he looks to young. But it does look like him. I’ll add this to the ep page…

My thinking was that perhaps they had invited the actor back who played Flutie to be an incarnation of the First, and either cut the scene or decided against shooting it, and, as long as the guy was there, put him in the back so he could pull extra pay….just a thought. And, thank you Jess for checking it out. I’m relieved to know that I am not entirely insane. Well, I may be entirely insane, but at least my eyes are playing tricks on me….
