Sarah’s achievement

There is a green surf board in Xander’s apartment (seen in Bargaining (Part 1)). An unconfirmed fan rumour has it that the board is actually the ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award presented to Sarah Michelle Gellar at the Teen Choice Awards in August 2001. It seems unlikely though, as this episode was recorded in July 2001. The award is a joke in itself - how old do they think Sarah is?!

How is the award a joke? Teen choice refers to the ages of the kids voting, not the age of the reciepient.

From the Teen Choice Awards Terms of Voting:

      3) You must be between the ages of 13 and 19 as of May 20, 2005.

They just mean you usually get a lifetime achievement award after you’ve done a lot of things in your lifetime. Sarah’s lifetime is defintely not over and it is funny to get such an award so early in life.

    3. mairceridwen says:

      yeah, that’s funny

    4. mairceridwen says:

I guess I just assumed teens don’t pay attention to the meaning of “lifetime achievement” anyway, so the joke was kind of lost on me.

Still look at all the work she’s done. Hell look at the work most teen actors have done. Dakota Fanning should be getting a life time achievment award any day now

    6. ant4buffy says:

Yeh she would, if the award was for most annoying child. She wasn’t at all good in War of The Worlds.

    7. Saintsaucey says:

Hey i like Dakota, and War Of the Worlds was pretty sucky any ways

    8. hannah_wish01 says:

i thought dakota was really good, however i think the lifetime acheivment award has come a little early in sarah’s life. maybe when she is 50 she will win a lifetime acheivment in like the oscars (i don’t actualy know if there is a lifetime acheivement in the oscars though)
