Scott Hope

Scott dated Buffy at the beginning of season three. He was friends with Pete Clarner and his girlfriend Debbie, seen in Beauty and the Beasts. Scott dumped Buffy because of her strange behaviour (a result of Angel returning suddenly from hell), not before coming on too strong and giving her a Claddagh ring. Buffy discovered in Conversations with Dead People that Scott had told people he thought Buffy was a lesbian, ironic as he had come out himself.

      I think this is a reference to the fact that Fab had joined Queer As Folk the year before.
