In Bring on the Night, Joyce says to Buffy, “Are you worried about the sun going down? Because there’s some things you can’t control. The sun always goes down, the sun always comes up.” A small connection between Angel and Buffy can be seen in the Angel episode ‘Long Day’s Journey‘, which aired in the month after Bring on the Night. In that episode, the Beast blots out the sun in Los Angeles. |

could this also be a link to Amends (ep 10 in season 3)where Angel waits for the sun to come up to kill himself on Christmas morning but it starts to snow and the weather forecast says that Sunnydale will not see the sun at all?? What Joyce said could make Buffy think about that again — that way Joss is Linking back to the beginning like he wanted for season 7.

In one of the Season 4 episodes, Hush, there is also that part in Buffy’s dream where Riley says “Don’t worry. If I kiss you, it’ll make the sun go down”
