Toth was a strong, glowing, robed demon who was the last surviving member of the Tothric Clan. He used tools or devices (such as the Ferula Gemina) instead of fighting barehanded Toth attempted to split Buffy into her two separate parts (the Slayer and Buffy) in The Replacement, for no apparent reason. He failed and was eventually killed by the Slayer when he attacked her at Xander’s apartment. Appeared in: The Replacement |

Toth tried to split Buffy in two because then he could easily kill the Buffy half causing the slayer half to die as well

Giles is proud of his victory over Toth because he’s “not dead or unconscious.” In a much previous episode (can’t remember which), Cordelia asks Giles in a very funny line, “Just how many times have you been knocked out, anyway?”
So. . . just how many times has Giles been knocked unconscious, anyway?
I can think of: ‘Homecoming,’ knocked out by the Gorches. ‘Revelations,’ Gwendolyn Post knocks him on the head.
Can’t remember the rest. Go to searching, scoobies.

I wondered which villain she was talking about… I thought of Toth but I couldn’t figure out if she was just calling it that or whether it really was a “Toff” gag.
