Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia) and Amber Benson (Tara) are the only cast members who were once regulars (or very nearly regular characters) to not come back and make a guest appearance after they left the show. |

Both Charisma Carpentar (Cordelia) and Amber Benson (Tara) were regular cast members before they left the show. In the opening credits of Seeing Red, Amber Benson is credited (for the first and last time). She was technically only a regular cast member for 1 episode before she was killed, but still! :)

I know, I added the “or very nearly regular characters” part because a few people kicked up a fuss about whether Amber was a regular or not. Personally, I think she was.

She certainly was a regular, and not just because she was in the credits for an episode. Amber Benson was certainly one the most important characters on the show, even if she didn’t appear in every episode like the rest of the cast. Of course, I know that I’m biased, as Tara is by far my favorite character from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
