[3.09-35.30] Wooden cage

Goof seen in: The Wish at 35.30

Why did the vamps construct a wooden cage to hold their prisoners? Wood is hardly vampire-friendly.

    1. anniec says:

They probably found the cage already made and decided to use it because it was convenient. Since the Master had risen and the vamps had taken over, they were cocky enough to overlook details like the danger that wood presented to them.

Besides, vamps aren’t necessarily stellar thinkers. The ones who built the factory used information stored in their heads from when they were human. Wood = danger would be a new bit of information they’d have to conceptualize. This is commented on a few times in the Buffyverse. One that comes to mind is where Angel (in “Provider” on Angel the Series) tells some vamps that he’s dusting: “Next time you hit the yard sales, I’d avoid the wooden furniture. I hear wicker is nice.”
