In season two’s Killed By Death the young Buffy had dark hair, as did the Buffy in Dawn’s memory in Blood Ties. But in this episode, the little girl playing Buffy has blonde hair. |

In Killed By Death and Blood Ties, we see Buffy and Dawn’s actual memories. In The Weight of the World, this isn’t Buffy’s actual memory. It’s what’s going on in her mind. (For example, she never actual kills Dawn but she does in her mind.) Buffy’s probably been dying her hair for the last six years, at least. In her mind, she’s a blond. So when she thought about Young Buffy, she was thinking of herself as a blond.

erm, i may be wrong, but there are a few people that i know who used to be blonde when they were younger, but are now dark haired. they haven’t dyed their hair it has just changed with age (i think). this may have been what happened, however it is more likely that they chose the child who played young buffy because she was just really cute lol!
