Goof seen in: Bargaining (Part 1) at 41.31
The idea that the demon bikers wouldn’t raid the town of Sunnydale just because they thought the Slayer was there is a bit unbelievable. If they banded together, that amount of demons with motorbikes could easily have killed Buffy. |

My guess is that they want to take the town with very few, if any, casualties. Not that they succeeded, but whatever.

They might of also heard about Buffy having the ’slayerettes’ and thought they couldn’t take her and her group. When they heard she was dead, they might have thought the rest of the group was powerless too.

Slayer strength is also somewhat “mythic” so it’s just as likely that they were scared, even if we know they probably could have taken her.

Besides, if Dracula had heard of Buffy’s awsomeness way over in Transylvania, word would’ve definitely reached the biker gang. After defeating the baddest of the bad (the Master, Angelus, Glory, etc) I sure as hell wouldn’t want to mess with her!
