[6.06-26.54] Dawn’s kiss

Goof seen in: All the Way at 26.54

Surely Dawn would have felt how cold Justin was when she kissed him? Perhaps she was too excited as it was her first kiss?

I don’t clearly remember this episode, so I can only offer possible explinations without much to base them on. The first being that if he had fed recently, then he wouldn’t be cold at all, and so there’d be nothing to notice.

As for the second, well, the first time I kissed my friend Rachel, we were standing outside my friend’s car, on a chilly fall night, her lips were very cool, and moist, (They were warm all the subsequent times, which was somewhat of a dismay because her lips sent a nice little thrill through one’s body when they were chilled.) at any rate, I seem to remember jackets, and cold lips, at night, in weather cool enough for jackets would not be out of place.

Since it was her first kiss maybe she thought that boys were always stone cold and tried to drink your blood afterwards.

Seriously though, where are you getting this thing about vamps being warm when they feed from? Is that part of some other vampire lore? It’s never addressed in Buffy.

    3. Mullsen says:

Spike said this about blood to Xander in ‘The Gift’: “Blood is life, lackbrain. Why do you think we eat it? It’s what keeps you going. Makes you warm. Makes you hard. Makes you other than dead.”
So that would fit with Justin’s lips feeling warmer after he had fed.

Burntofferings…perhaps your friend Rachel was a vampire????

It does sound like it, doesn’t it?
