If Andrew can read the writing on the blade, why did he just think it was symbols before? That’s like thinking “DOG” is a load of weird symbols. |

Maybe he didn’t want to look too closely at the knife considering what he knew he would have to do with it.

maybe it was in a font that you have to really look at to read like that old english one

I think it would have been more realistic if it had been Spike who translated the writing on the knife. After all we know he speaks some demon languages, and it was he who read the inscription in the Mission which was in Latin written with Greek letters, showing off his education.

That was like how I bought a t-shirt that said “SCREW YOU” on it but the font was relaly hard to read so I didn’t actually have any clue what it said until someone pointed it out :$
