While Joss’ maths doesn’t bear close scrutiny when it comes to deducing Angel’s birth year, there is another factor that complicates his age. We know that Angel is 241 years old in season one. By season three, however, Angel has spent ’several hundred years’ in a Hell dimension, during which time only a few months passed in Sunnydale. |

He tells Connor that “his girlfriend sent him to hell for 100 years” if that helps.

In the Angel episode Dear Boy (2.5)
Cordelia says “He can’t be having a growth spurt at 248 could he?”
To which Angel replies “247″

In the only “scene” that I can find from the unaired pilot of ‘Angel,’ Angel mentions in his monologue that he is 244. Hope that helps.

I don’t think his hell years* count as they’re not the same length of time as a regular earth year.
*Now there’s an idea for a spin-off show: Angel: The Hell Years.

I would watch that Jess….but then again I would watch David Boreanaz in almost anything (I say almost because I don’t think I could sit through Valentine again).
Have you been watching Bones? I am really enjoying it.

Believe it or not, I don’t watch TV. I haven’t for 2 and a half years. We watch DVDs now only, and it’s great to really control what you watch!

Amen to that. I love DVD’s (when I get my hands on them).

Ditto on the DVD watching. No ads and no waiting combine for a superior experience.
I recently watched a fabulous 13 episode, cancelled, (see Firefly) series called Wonderfalls. It’s about a fascinating young woman who is chosen, (see BtVS) to have inanimate animals instruct her on how to help people. She struggles with her destiny for the entire series which includes an extended guest starring role by Jewel Staite (Kaylee on Firefly). Who was adorable, by the way. I highly recommend it to any BtVS fan.
I am currently enjoying the Showtime series Dead Like Me which coincidentally features a young woman dealing with her destiny as a grim reaper.
