How in the season two episode Passion did Angel beat Jenny Calendar up the stairs? it seemed that she had almost escaped because he had fallen over the mop but somehow he arrived in time to kill her. |

Yeah, he is so happy about getting back together with Jenny and to see her dead…it blows him away. He goes from the ultimate high to the ultimate low. It is truely sad.

Actually, Joss said that he did this on purpose. He was making a tribute to or maybe mocking the classic horror movies, where the persecutor always seems to magically appear right next to the victim when in the previous frame he was far behind. I think this was in the commentary for that episode.

Really? My DVD doesn’t have commentary for Passion, damn. I’m in the US so maybe my DVD set doesn’t have commentary for that episode.

I don’t see this as a goof - Angelus is playing with Jenny - toying with her before he kills her, so he probably used his vampire speed or something to zone in for the final kill.

You see a few times in Angel that Angel/Angelus can leap very high onto building etc, so maybe he jumped over the bannister/starway to meet Jenny as she was thinking that she got away.
