Another redshirt dying (”Older and Far Away”)

Richard, the character who gets stabbed in the episode “Older and Far Away” was wearing a red shirt. This is a deliberate reference to the redshirts of Star Trek, as Drew Z. Greenberg confirms in issue #34 of the Official Buffy the Vampire Slayer magazine: “That was totally on purpose. It wasn’t just me - a group of us said, ‘Hey, a red shirt would be cool!’”
